Social Darwinism in Action - Destroy the Weak!

    From here

“Eight people were killed when a teenaged gunman opened fire at a school in southern Finland on November 7, 2007 hours after a video was posted on YouTube predicting a massacre there. The gunman was a pupil at Jokela High School, a teacher who witnessed the attack told Reuters, and had walked through the school firing into classroom after classroom. . . . The YouTube video, entitled ‘Jokela High School Massacre—11/7/2007,’ was posted by a user called ‘Sturmgeist89.’ ‘I am prepared to fight and die for my cause,’ read a posting by a user of the same name. ‘I, as a natural selector, will eliminate all who I see unfit, disgraces of human race and failures of natural selection.’ Sturmgeist means storm spirit in German.”2

Wow! While I'm sure the majority of natural selection proponents would not approve of his actions, this is still "chilling."

At the same time, there are those (some more famous, some less) who in embracing similar positions have caused or brought about similar results (some on a greater scale, some less).

Let it suffice to say, these folks would not make good neighbors, governors, policy makers, or teachers.

While one can speak of radicals of any position, what's clear is this thinking and behavior not only fails to meet up, but is condemned by true Christianity.

Interested to know how turning the gun on himself played into his reasoning? Or, was this just another "inconsistency" within their camp?

Yikes. I'm sure the vast majority of Darwinists would condemn his actions. The quandry they face is that they really have no grounds for doing so, unless they once again borrow from the Christian Worldview. A consistent Darwinist needs to explain how the actions of this guy are any different than spraying weedkiller on a lawn.

How about that T-Shirt, "Humanity is overrated"? In the world of Darwin, he's right.
