Scientists Unveil Missing Link In Evolution
"The experts concluded Ida was not simply a lemur but a 'lemur monkey', displaying a mixture of both groups, and therefore putting her at the very branch of the human line."
Don't we first have to estabish monkeys or lemurs as a branch on the human line before we can come to this conclusion?

This actually complicates the debate, not simplify it. According to evolutionary theory, there were two possible lines of descent for humans, one from the adapidae, and one form the tarsidae.
This discovery will do nothing to clear up the differences of opinion between the two groups.
And as with any discovery of this sort, they should quit drawing analogies based on bodytype and show the biochemical pathways by which the descendants came from this ancestor.
Jazzy just pointed out to me that the Google Logo this morning has this fossilised skeleton in it. Since when has Google's business had anything to do with skeletons?
