Happy people spend a lot of time socializing, going to church and reading newspapers — but they don’t spend a lot of time watching television, a new study finds.
That’s what unhappy people do.
Although people who describe themselves as happy enjoy watching television, it turns out to be the single activity they engage in less often than unhappy people, said John Robinson, a professor of sociology at the University of Maryland and the author of the study, which appeared in the journal Social Indicators Research.
Quote from here.
Go to church and be happy!

Hmmmmm!
I've always thought TV opened peoples' eyes to what they don't have...making them dissatisfied, envious, etc..
And I'm tired of people suggesting life follows art and we 'get what we want'..who wants that junk? And who made us ready to accept debauchery and immorality?
I think life's following TV lately and I think that's really dangerous and scary because TV's not exactly setting uplifting, moral and constructive lifestyles, is it!!
We need shows like Touched With An Angel, remember? Things like that..GOOD shows emphasizing faith and kindness..!!??
By the way, patrick; you gave Ducky EVIDENCE God exists? >>What? I'd love to know.
WHY did I call you Patrick? Sorry, Puritan!!
Hi Z,
There are any number of ways to prove God's Existence. Check out this post from Ron's Blog.
The beauty of this argument is multifold, and it makes the naturalist defend his indefensible worldview. Since Ducky brought science and "the laws of nature", you can simply substitute the "laws of nature" into this proof in place of "intelligible experience", and let the naturalist wrestle with David Hume's skepticism of induction.
